About Me.
My name is Kaya de Reede and I've always been very interested in working with wildlife and working in conservation. I started studying animal management at van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands in 2016 and during my time there I went on an internship at Merazonia wildlife rescue centre in Ecuador. I instantly fell in love with the place and was eager to return after finishing my studies. I was instantly attracted to their approach to rehabilitating animals in a hands off way. Now that I've been here for a while, I'm trying to help out in as many ways as possible. One of the ways is by helping to gather information to make sure we have as much knowledge as possible about releases of our rehabilitated animals. I found that this is not always very easy to find. This led me to create this website, where I hope responsible centres want to share their information, to make sure we can all have as much knowledge as possible before releasing an animal.

My hope is that this website grows over time, and we can possibly start sharing information about enrichment ideas, nutrition and general care.
